What to bring

🪪 ID is shown at check-in, not out on the launch field. Anyone who arrives without it cannot board that day, but can reschedule the flight, subject to availability and to the date-change policy.

A valid government-issued photo ID
Shown at check-in, one per passenger: we use it to register you for the traveler insurance that covers the flight. Visiting from abroad? A passport, or official photo ID from your own country, works. Minors do not need their own: they come with a parent or legal guardian.

FAQ

What time is pickup and where is the drop-off?
Pickup starts at 4:00 AM, at the point we agree on within a 4 km radius of the Ángel de la Independencia (your hotel or Airbnb). The return is exclusively to the Ángel de la Independencia — we do not drop off at hotels. If the Ángel is closed due to a march or traffic, the alternate drop-off point is the Monumento a la Revolución.
Is it safe? What if I’m afraid of heights?
We fly certified balloons, AFAC-licensed captains with 1,000+ flights each, and traveler insurance. The basket is stable: 9 out of 10 first-timers with a fear of heights report feeling calm. We cancel for wind without penalty.
What happens if the weather doesn’t allow us to fly?
If we cancel for safety we refund 100%, or reschedule at no cost for whatever date works for you.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes. Free cancellation with a 100% refund as long as you let us know at least 48 hours before your flight time. Within the last 48 hours there is no refund, since your seat is held and the balloon is scheduled around your booking. You can also reschedule at no cost with that same 48-hour notice.
Do I need to show ID on the day of the flight?
Yes — at check-in, one per passenger: a valid government-issued photo ID. We use it to register you for the traveler insurance that covers the flight. Visiting from abroad? A passport, or official photo ID from your own country, works. Minors do not need their own: they come with a parent or legal guardian, who shows ID and signs for them. The name only has to match for the person who booked. Check-in happens at the meeting point listed in your confirmation, never out on the launch field. Anyone who arrives without ID cannot board that day, but can reschedule the flight, subject to availability and to the date-change policy.
Can kids / pregnant women / older adults fly?
Children aged 5 to 10 can fly at the full adult rate, since they take a complete spot in the basket. Under 5 cannot fly for safety reasons. Pregnant guests can’t fly either, in any trimester. No upper age limit as long as you can step into the basket on your own (~1.20 m height).
Can I choose the pilot or balloon?
Not directly — we assign by availability. If you have a preference (language, special occasion) let us know when booking and we’ll do our best.
How long is the flight?
The flight itself is 45-60 min. The duration shown on this package (7 hrs) is the full experience: check-in, safety briefing, inflation, flight and the landing toast. Anything else this package covers is listed under "What's included?".
